Kent and Fraser have very kindly sent us a range of their products to review. Rather than write one post with all the items on I will group the items together and then write blogs for them.

Kent and Fraser are a London based family artisan bakery. They have been on the scene since 2009 and have a beautiful range of biscuits, criscuits and toasts to choose from which are all gluten and wheat free! They have won 12 gold 'Great Taste Awards' to date and all their products contain no artificial additives, colours or preservatives.

In this post I am going to write about their biscuits! We love biscuits... we like them to snack on, to dunk in our tea, in our lunch boxes, who doesn't?!

1. Lemon Butter Shortbread- 



Taste/Texture:

Kyrie: I loved how lemony these are, you can really taste it. They also really melt in your mouth just like 'normal' shortbread.

Miles: I thought these were nice, they weren't as sweet as the other biscuits you can buy either which was actually nice as they weren't packed out with sugar and they were very buttery too!

Non Gluten Free Comparison:

We both thought that these really tasted like the real deal. We had never tried lemon shortbread before but they definitely had the texture of 'normal' shortbread.

2. Chocolate Butter Crunch-



 Taste/Texture:

Kyrie: These are very chocolatey, and I do love a good chocolate biscuit. They weren't my favourite out of all of them but they were still very nice.

Miles: If you like dark chocolate you will love these, I prefer milk chocolate so these weren't really for me.

Kyrie: 6/10

Miles: 6/10

Non Gluten Free Comparison:

They had a nice biscuit texture, a nice crunch and were chocolatey. They also held together well when dunked in tea and I don't think our friends would notice the difference between these and 'normal' chocolate biscuits either! They're just a tad rich but I blended up the leftover biscuits we had into a yummy ice cream and chocolate cookie milkshake.

3. Fig and Hazelnut-

 

Taste/Texture:

Kyrie: I'm not a huge fan of fig, but you wouldn't know it was in these! They're really nice, I'd say they are perfect for dipping in a nice cup of tea. They have a lovely crunch too!

Miles: I really liked these, they are sweet and flavoursome and I love the hazelnut in them too. The flavour was spot on, it was the right amount of sweetness to compliment the hazelnut.

Non Gluten Free Comparison:

These reminded me of the biscuits you can get with currants in them (but thicker) they're really nice and I'd have no objection to whipping out a box of these for an afternoon tea with our friends. They wouldn't be able to tell the difference!

4. Spicy Ginger-



 


Taste/Texture:

Kyrie: These are delicious, the ginger is nice and delicate but the flavour is perfect. They are lovely and crunchy and they didn't last long in our household!

Miles: These were lovely, lots of crunch and very flavoursome. The only gripe I have is when I had a few they left a funny texture in my mouth. But these were my favourites.

Non Gluten Free Comparison:

These honestly did taste like 'normal' ginger biscuits, the flavour is spot on, the crunch is perfect and we don't think our friends would be able to tell the difference between these and normal biscuits.

Packaging:


The boxes of biscuits are in funky colours that match what is in them, they are very eye catching and they are attractive to look at.
