Roasted chickpeas...
February 28, 2016
So on Friday night it was date night for Miles and I and we decided to go to Pizza Express for dinner.
We tried a new thing on their menu called Noci. It's a dish of cashews, almonds and roasted chickpeas...we loved it!!
So over the weekend I decided to make my own roasted chickpeas and this was what went down...
You will need:
- a can of chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons of oil (I used olive)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- a pinch of salt
Method:
1. Pre-heat your oven to 200 c. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pop in a bowl and pat dry.
2. Add the oil, cumin, paprika and salt to the chickpeas and give the bowl a toss to coat all the chicpeas evenly.
3. Spread the chickpeas out on a baking tray and pop in the oven for 25 minutes giving them a little shake every 10 or so minutes.
4. Remove from the oven and cool in the baking tray.
5. Serve!
